Dear Friends of Sanibel Music Festival,
Sanibel Music Festival greatly anticipates the 37th season in March 2024. We begin the season with the return of two Festival favorites who earned rave reviews in our 2020 season. On March 5, it’s Manhattan Chamber Players, the New York-based collective known for their contagious joy of performance, followed on March 9 by National Chopin Piano Competition Winner Avery Gagliano, whose all-Chopin concert in 2020 earned a standing ovation and multiple curtain calls.
The season continues featuring globally praised performers, including the popular Boston Trio featuring violinist Irina Muresanu on March 12, followed by one of the most sought-after performing young ensembles today, the Viano String Quartet on March 16.
On March 19, we are delighted to feature preeminent chamber musicians David Finckel and Wu Han, cello and piano, directors of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, followed by the Opera Theater of Connecticut, back by popular demand on March 23 for the 37th time, singing the hits of Gilbert and Sullivan.
Our long-time venue in Sanibel is still undergoing repairs from Hurricane Ian so we are being warmly welcomed once again by our hosts at Peace Lutheran Church, 15840 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, which is just a few miles north of the Sanibel Causeway. Peace Lutheran offers easy and accessible parking, expansive seating in the sanctuary and superb acoustics.
