Dear Friends of Sanibel Music Festival,
Sanibel Music Festival is looking forward to celebrating our 35th Anniversary Season with the exciting concert series planned for March 2021. As we put the final details in place, we are mandated to consider evolving COVID-19 trends and regulations. We are investigating many emerging options now being considered for performing arts. This includes traditional seating with social distancing, virtual viewing, live streaming, outdoor concerts, and other new ideas.
Thank you for your patience as we assess our situation for the upcoming season. Please continue to watch this space for updates.
The planned March 2021 season is outstanding. We plan to open with the nine-time Grammy award-winning Emerson String Quartet and close with the wind ensemble from the world-renowned Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
In between, the series unfolds with one amazing performance after another, including Cliburn Silver Medalist pianist Ken Broberg, piano superstars Wu Han and Orion Weiss performing with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the fresh and exciting Calidore String Quartet and the passionate Lysander Piano Trio.
Back by popular demand is the Opera Theater of Connecticut Singing Andrew Lloyd Webber, showcasing the sold-out program that had been planned for the suspended 2020 season.
