A Gold Medalist at the Cliburn International Piano Competition, our friend, Jon, is celebrating SMF’s 40th Anniversary by opening our 2027 Season. Nakamatsu continues to draw acclaim for electrifying performances.

Violinist Joanna Maurer, cellist Alberto Parrini, and pianist Anna Stoycheva formed the Trio after performing together for over 20 years. As a trio, they are described as stunning, expressive and passionate. As individual musicians, they perform globally in orchestras and ensembles.

Tuesday, March 9 @ 2:00pm Matinee and 7:30pm
New to the Festival this year, the Showstoppers present “Masters of the Marquee,” a celebration of the best music from Broadway and Hollywood.

The Brentano String Quartet is highly awarded and lauded worldwide for their luxurious sound and interpretive style. They have served as Artists-in-Residence at Yale University for the past decade.

Tuesday, March 16 @ 7:30pm
This all-star ensemble features Christian Colberg, viola, Felicity James, violin, Lachezar Kastov, cello, and Dwight Parry, oboe. They create intimate musical experiences showcasing Chamber Music from Baroque to modern.

Saturday, March 20 @ 7:30pm
Three world-class virtuoso soloists, Thomas Hoyt, trumpet, Blair Hamrick, French horn, and Haim Avitsur, trombone, have embraced classical and jazz masterworks and adapted them for the instrumentation of the brass trio.
